Valdelsa 
The Val d'Elsa is divided into two parts by the Elsa River: the upper part of the river - and of the valley embraces Colle and Poggibonsi reaching Certaldo, on the way to Florence, opening like a sun arising from the clouds in a magnificent scenery.
Poggibonsi is the most modern and vital town of the area but there are other famous villages worth mentioning such as Casole and Radicondoli, which are usually not considered as classic tourist destinations, but that are full of history and traces of a prosperous past.
